No one knows for sure why Robärthrunius roams the seas, without rest or purpose. Some say he is searching for something lost, others believe he is fleeing from some great danger. Perhaps he shares more than a love of the sea with the storms - perhaps he is a part of them.

He and his ship are like a wisp of ocean air, elusive and difficult to grasp. But what really drives him? No one can say for sure if his voyages have a purpose or are just a game with the tides.

~ Captain Thelys Varyn, 322 EC.

Those who recount his exploits in the storms rarely agree on whether they have witnessed madness or genius. Some say he dances with the wind as he climbs around the rigging of his ship, laughing out loud in the midst of the worst storm, while others claim he is merely testing the limits of his abilities.

Encounter with The Fugitive

The story of his encounter with Dhas'Garyll is often told in whispers, as if it were a secret itself. Some claim he knows more about the Gods than any mortal or spirit, but what he has seen remains shrouded in darkness. It is said that he knows the whereabouts of the escaped god.

The ship in the desert

The legend of a ship in the desert of Al Bah JiRas defies logic, but it has inspired generations of storytellers. If you go deep into the desert of Al Bah JiRas in the seventh century, to a place further from the edge of the desert than any other, you will find a dilapidated ship stranded on the sand. A small skeleton lies on the deck, near the steering wheel.
